Dissertation Projects All of our staff here in UCL Geography are passionate about doing great geography research and we want to give you the chance to do some of your own whilst you are here. So we place considerable emphasis on dissertation projects.
Our Undergraduate Single-Honours Programme is a long-established course that provides a thorough grounding in the discipline of Geography as well as the opportunity to specialise in one of our many areas of research excellence.

Geography is a cosmopolitan discipline and our International Programme gives you the best possible opportunity to explore this. The primary purpose of the Programme is to provide you with the opportunity to immerse yourself for an extended period in a foreign academic environment. This immersion provides you with first-hand experience in the different ways discipline of geography is configured.

UCL Geography covers all accommodation and travel costs for the 1st year fieldtrip to Catalonia, and currently makes a significant contribution to the costs of second and third year fieldtrips. The course aims to engage students in deep critical thought about geography education with a view to improving the quality of the geography curriculum experience for young people and to view geography as a resource with unique educational potential. The course encourages students to examine critical debates in geography and ask what value these have for schools.
